Sunday: Closed

PARKING
The Main Library does not have patron parking. Several parking options exist on the surrounding surface streets as well as privately operated lots.
Parking on Washington St.: No parking 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Metered parking Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., 25 cents for 20 minutes, one hour maximum.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
From Broad Street Station: Walk 3 blocks south on Broad Street to Washington Street.

From Newark Penn Station: The light rail stops near the Library (see below). Make sure to validate your ticket before boarding the light rail. New Jersey Transit buses #72 and #76 from Newark Penn Station stop near the Library.

Light Rail: Traveling from Newark Penn Station: Board the Broad Street Station line of The Newark Light Rail. Get off at the Atlantic Street stop. Proceed left to Bridge Street. At the intersection, cross over Atlantic Street and continue up one block to Broad Street. Cross Broad Street to the northern end of Washington Park at Washington Street. The Library is across the street next to the Rutgers Business School.
