Help get more Art Bags to Newark Families

Cool CAT was initially created for families to explore the cultural scene here in Newark. However, with the pandemic most of our institutions are closed, and we are left to manage boredom with little ones at home. So… we created Art Bags for Newark Preschool families thanks to the Creative Catalyst funds from the City Of Newark and Newark Arts. Families were so excited that we hit our quota within a week and are currently distributing over 200 bags. We have a waiting list to fulfill but no more funds. We’d love to provide more bags to Newark families so if you have the means we’d love the help in making this happen.

Buy 1, Give 1

Buy 1 art bag and we’ll provide a Newark family with one too! Our art bags are filled with everything from washable paints to pompoms to water droppers to coffee filters! Your child(ren) can create nearly 25 process art projects (see our packing list). We’re also adding BONUS items which include not-your-every-day art tools as a thank you for supporting our project. Art Bag supplies allow for 2 children to do projects (with shared paints). Art Bags are created with children ages 3-5 in mind but realistically can still be entertaining til age 7. If purchased, art bags will be delivered or mailed starting August 20.
